Gelato is Italian style ice cream- a cool and sweet dessert that really hits the spot on a hot summer day in Provincetown.
At The Purple Feather, we pride ourselves on the quality of our authentic, home made gelato, and have a selection of as many as twenty eight flavors at a time, with special flavors making guest appearances for events like the annual chocolate festival.
Since gelato is made with fresh whole milk instead of heavy cream, it tastes rich and creamy while being lower in fat and calories than traditional ice cream. However, because it's not churned with as much air, it's just as flavorful. For a completely dairy and fat free treat, we also have fresh fruit sorbetto, of course made with real fruit. We use only all natural ingredients in our gelato and sorbetto, no artificial ingredients or food dyes.
